What is Breakout?

Breakout is a crypto-native proprietary trading firm launched in November 2023. It was acquired by Kraken in September 2025. Traders evaluate on the Breakout Terminal with simulated capital from $5,000 to $200,000, then request on-demand USDC payouts if they stay inside the daily-loss and max-drawdown limits.

How do Breakout payouts work?

Funded traders can withdraw any amount from $50 upward on demand, 24/7, in USDC. There is no minimum trading-day wait after the first funded trade. Processing typically completes the same day on Kraken's infrastructure.

What evaluation rules does Breakout use?

Breakout offers 1-Step Turbo, Pro and Classic plus a 2-Step Classic. Headline targets are around 9–12% profit with 3–8% drawdown depending on the plan. The firm markets no consistency rule, no time limit and no minimum trading days — you still cannot breach the published daily loss or max drawdown.

Which platforms and markets does Breakout support?
