Spotware Launches cAntifraud to Let Brokers and Prop Firms Share Risk Alerts

Spotware Systems, the developer behind the cTrader trading platform, has rolled out a new risk management tool called cAntifraud. The service is built to allow both retail forex brokers and proprietary trading firms to share anonymized alerts concerning suspicious trader activity. By pooling data across different institutions, the network aims to catch abusive patterns that individual risk teams might otherwise miss in isolation.

The launch addresses a growing challenge in the funded trading and retail brokerage sectors, where coordinated exploitation can quickly drain liquidity or capital. Prop firms and brokers often operate in silos, making it difficult to spot multi-firm syndicates or traders executing conflicting strategies across several platforms simultaneously.

Industry awareness of cross-firm manipulation has heightened following previous disclosures by market participants. For instance, prop firm PipFarm highlighted instances where large groups of traders coordinated opposite positions across multiple competing competing brands to guarantee risk-free payouts regardless of market direction.

Risk management professionals have repeatedly emphasized the catastrophic potential of unmitigated toxic flow. Past commentary from industry veterans highlighted that a tiny fraction of predatory traders can bankrupt a prop firm if risk desks fail to identify and cut off their accounts in time.

cAntifraud seeks to bridge the information gap between separate brokers and prop firms by creating a unified threat-sharing ecosystem. When one participating firm flags a profile as a high risk or abusive threat, the network automatically issues warnings to all other connected members.

As regulatory scrutiny and fraudulent schemes continue to evolve, collaborative technological defenses are becoming increasingly essential for the trading industry. Platforms like cTrader hope to restore balance to risk management by giving smaller and mid-sized firms access to enterprise-grade threat intelligence.
