Investec Partners with IG to Launch White-Label Trading Platform in South Africa

Investec Prime Services has announced a strategic partnership with IG Prime, the institutional division of IG Group, to roll out a dedicated white-label trading platform in South Africa. Operating under the trusted Investec brand, the platform delivers advanced trading technology directly to local institutional clients and hedge fund managers.

Under the arrangement, IG supplies the core infrastructure, execution services, analytics, and risk management tools. This technical backbone supports derivatives trading across multiple asset classes, including equities, indices, foreign exchange, commodities, and fixed income.

For IG Group, this collaboration establishes a fresh operational channel in South Africa. The move comes after IG wound down its locally denominated retail operations in the region, shifting its strategy to leverage trusted local banking brands instead.

Investec clients will now benefit from institutional-grade execution capabilities seamlessly integrated within a familiar banking environment. The white-label offering allows the bank to elevate its prime services division without building proprietary trading architecture from scratch.

IG Prime originally rolled out its institutional white-label solution in September 2025. Securing a major financial institution like Investec validates the scalability and appeal of IG's B2B technology model for tier-one banking partners worldwide.
